The Warped series collaboration was exhibited in Munich, Germany at Pinakothek Der Moderne / The Design Museum. The brooch consists of an unworn vintage spectacle frame that is transformed through the process of heating and bending to accommodate custom cut lenses made from open-cell aluminium.

Bent out of shape with lenses of aluminium, and thus rendered useless as a tool for clearer sight, these spectacles are marked by absurd distortion right between the eyes; a futuristic immaterial mentality which blinds us to the material damage from the rampant consumerism and desire to see and own the new. The open cell structure of the aluminium distorts and symbolises the white noise, anxiety, anticipation, and friction, but does not totally inhibit sight, while a spectacle frame worn on the body as jewellery questions our relationship objects while pushing limits of the world’s resources.
